We recently traveled to Idaho to see a wonderful show by George Carlson. He is wonderful sculptor but there are people out there that do not know that he can paint equally as well. These 9 paintings that we saw had wonderful compositions and wonderful textures. To understand and truly appreciate these textures one would have to see the original paintings. I guess George worked on these for over a year. He layered and layered them. The effect is truly magical to see !! His work can be seen at the Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The gallery owner is the nicest person who is super educated about art.
