Phil Starke had a fantastic turnout for his 3 day workshop. The students painted the model from life at this monastery in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains. He then took them to the Tumacori Mission just south of Tubac where they painted some architectual subject matter. They also spent time at Catalina State Park where Phill showed them how to simplify the landscape. He will be doing another workshop in the Fall of 2009.
